Biggest Life Lessons
" Go the extra mile. It's never crowded"
Hi Friend!
This was a hard blog post to write. I feel like I have learned a lot of life lessons in my past 40 years around the sun, but these are the things that are really sticking with me tonight. The list will likely change over time and that’s okay, because as I age, I gain wisdom! So here it goes:
Feelings are not facts
I can do hard things
If i’m scared, do it scared
Be in some type of service
I can only control myself
I have to live one day at a time
My health is everything
I make mistakes because I am human
I’d rather be happy then right
Smile
Be Kind
Forgiveness is for myself- not anyone else
I choose my own happiness
Having a morning and night time routine is crucial for successful days
Attitude of GRADITUDE has changed my life
I teach people how I want to be treated
Some things happen for me, not to me
My past does not define me
My relationships are very important to me
I will never be able to please everyone
Think before I speak- Does it need to be said? Does is need yo be said now? Does it need to be said by me?
I matter
Target is a necessity
The only way to succeed is to fail
I always make time for things that matter
There is strength in vulnerability
Always stand up for what I believe in
Always keep my promises and commitments (unless something important comes up)
Everyone deserves equal rights and should be treated with respect and dignity
True happiness comes from within- not from external sources. Its an inside job
Take responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences
Strive to make decisions that align with my values and principles
So what do you think of my list? What would you add? What would you remove? Let’s chat
